ORANGE PARK – Six Clay County residents face charges of manufacturing methamphetamine at three locations, in some instances while having small children present.
Clay County Sheriff’s Office detectives had a search warrant when they went to three sites on Wednesday, March 10, and made the arrests. Detectives arrested Joseph Blake Edmondson, 30, at a rented storage unit in the 300 block of Blanding Boulevard where the discovered a variety of chemicals used to operate a methamphetamine laboratory, syringes and a small amount of the drug in small plastic bag, according to a Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
Edmondson's girlfriend, Loni-Ann Drew Paterson, 27, was arrested at his Orange Park home in the 600 block of Charles Carroll Street where detectives also found an active clandestine meth lab, the report says. Paterson’s 5-month-old child, who was with her in the home, was taken into state custody by the Florida Department of Children and Families.
Arrests also were made at a home in the 2800 block of Tanglewood Boulevard where another meth lab was found, the report says. Charged with manufacturing methamphetamine-related offenses were Deanna Skinner Miles, 31, and Edwin James Browning, 32, both of Middleburg, and Fawn Marie Gold, 32, of Orange Park, arrest reports say.
Investigators also charged Tracy Marie Rivera, 39, who lived at the Tanglewood Boulevard home. The report says Rivera had her two minor children at home when the methamphetamine “cook”, which posed a serious danger of fire or explosion, was occurring.
